Situated in Taipei, the IO Paleo Proxy Lab was established in 2018. Come join us if you are passionate about ocean and climate!​

Postdoctoral researcher (temperature proxy)

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher who is enthusiastic about multi-proxy comparison, and has experience with at least one of the following paleothermometers i.e. foraminifera-based Mg/Ca or clumped isotope, alkenone-based UK'37, or archaeal tetraether-based TEX86. Postdoctoral researcher (Proxy-model comparison)

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher who has experience working with and analyzing climate model output, ideally with experience in performing paleoclimate proxy-climate model comparison. Please get in touch for more information.

PhD & MSc student

We welcome students who are interested in paleoceanographic research to get in touch to learn more about research opportunities in our lab and postgraduate program at IONTU. IONTU currently offers some courses in English, and the number is increasing in line with IONTU's efforts in making itself more globally competitive. There is only one enrollment each year at NTU. The application period is usually during December-March, except for PhD program which you can also apply in summer. You can find more information about application and scholarship here.
